Frantz M. Berthaud, MPH, FACHE is the Chief Cancer Center Officer at University Medical Center of El Paso. He has oversight of the system's operations and strategic vision for oncology. He has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector ranging from clinical research to management, education, operations, and strategy. Prior to Frantz joining THOP, he served in several leadership roles at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Frantz serves on several boards including United Way of El Paso County, Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH), and Boston College, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Philosophy. He holds a Master of Public Health from BUSPH and was an adjunct faculty there. Frantz is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. When he is not pursuing his passion at the intersection of oncology and equity, he is enjoying time with family.

Christina Paz, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, joined the Centro San Vicente team in October 2009 as a Family Nurse Practitioner and in December 2018, Dr. Paz accepted the position as Chief Executive Officer becoming the first female CEO of Centro San Vicente in over 27 years. Dr. Paz obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from NMSU. She has a Masters of Science of Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Tech University Health Science Center, and holds a Doctorate of Nurse Practice at the University of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Paz sits on other organizational Board of Directors to include Community en Accion, Candelighters of El Paso, and the Texas Association for Community Health Care Centers. She is also the only Nurse Practitioner to serve on the Medical Care Advisory Committee for Texas Department of Health and Human Services and was appointed by County Judge Richard Samaniego to the first Women’s Commission for El Paso County. Dr. Paz is a University of Texas at El Paso 2018 Gold Nugget recipient, received a 2022 Community Impact award from Texas Nurse Practitioner, in 2023 was recognized as a Woman of Impact, and recipient of 2025 Pioneers 21 Innovation Award.

John P. Muñoz is a seasoned operations executive and entrepreneur with a distinguished record of leading large-scale teams and managing complex, multimillion-dollar budgets across diverse regions of the United States. Over the course of his career, he has overseen tens of thousands of employees and earned widespread recognition for his leadership and community engagement. His contributions have been honored by numerous nonprofit organizations, as well as by both the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Chamber of Commerce of Las Cruces, NM and Oklahoma City, OK. A dynamic public speaker and community advocate, John has served as a commencement speaker for the New America School and the Las Cruces Independent School District. He has emceed a wide range of professional and civic events and represented the local chamber during an official visit to Italy’s regional chamber, the Camera di Commercio Industria Artigianato e Agricoltura di Sassari. His achievements have been featured multiple times—and in multiple languages—on the covers of Ser Empresario magazine and The Sitel Globe. Professionally, John has held executive leadership roles at Electronic Caregiver (ECG), a privately held healthcare technology company based in Las Cruces. During his tenure, John served as both Chief Experience Officer and Chief Relations Officer.

Dr. Hubert H. Fenton is a nationally recognized board-certified pathologist with over two decades of experience in surgical pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, and liver pathology. He currently serves as Medical Director of Endeavor Pathology Labs in El Paso, Texas, where he oversees diagnostic operations, implements advanced laboratory practices, and ensures the highest standards of quality and accuracy in patient care. Dr. Fenton earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, following a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Brown University. He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he also served as a Junior Faculty in Surgical Pathology. He further specialized with fellowship training in Gastrointestinal and Hepatic Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco. Throughout his career, Dr. Fenton has held prominent academic and clinical leadership roles, including Associate Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he directed the Surgical Pathology Fellowship Program. His prior positions include Co-Chief of the Gastrointestinal/Liver Division at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore and leadership roles in both academic and private practice pathology groups nationwide.
